Seen from the monastery (300 metres south towards Veni) is the small church of Agia Marina in which the coat of arms of the Kalergis (an important Cretan family during the Venetian era) can be seen on the portal. There is also a relief decoration of a melon above the entrance door. Inside, the church has arches and frescoes, some of which have been drawn on top of reliefs on the wall.
