If you want a quiet holiday in a typical Cretan village this is it. Natives are friendly and helpful. Its a small village with narrow streets full of character, there are 2 small mini-markets, a baker, a butcher and quite a few Tavernas all who serve great food. The beaches are clean and the one at the harbour is shallow and safe for the little ones as there is no tide. There are regular buses to Remmy which are modern, clean and they run on time! (unlike our English ones) at the bus stop in the village or near the underpass. There are also buses to Heraklion on the main road. Want a chill out holiday this is the place for you, want excitement and noise forget it! Oh and if you drink the local brew (Raki)you might not feel its affect until you wake up the next morning, then wow! its head detatched and that was after less half a litre.
