Kandanos is the capital of Selino and is 58km from Chania on the Chania - Tavronitis - Kandanos road. Kandanos receives the most rainfall in Crete and a small river flows there year-round. Kandanos is surrounded by olive groves.
Near Kandanos there are many interesting Byzantine churches.

Dear Madam, Sir,

We are a wind-instrument band (called "Kelim Shluvim") of some 25 young and adult amateur musicians from Haifa, Israel.

We have a wide and versatile repertoire spanning different styles, like: folklore, light classical music, kleizmer (Jewish Hasidic) music, pop and jazz.

Our band offers regular season concerts for subscribed audience and has been doing so for the last 6 years.

We are planning a tour to Crete this coming summer (2008) Between 5/6-12/6/08 and are looking for a suitable festival that that we can play there. We can play indoors in music halls or outdoors in open-air concerts.

We will be glad if you could provide us with information on the prospects of attending playing in your town.
