.From the car park on the left of the monastery, there is a view of the sea, and a footpath begins that goes down to the monastery of Katholiko and the "spilies"--the caves. The walk down to Katholiko takes about 30 minutes. Allow 1 1/2 to 2 hours for the round trip.
