Historical Museum and Archives of Chania
South of the Public Garden of Chania, on Sfakianaki street, lies the Historical Museum and Archives. The museum has a large exhibit outlining the history of Crete. The archives contain a wide range of historic collections, including correspondence and old documents.
The museum contains two floors of exhibits. The first floor is devoted to Eleftherios Venizelos. The second floor has examples of Venetian furniture and a folklore collection containing examples of local weaving and crafts. The second floor also contains the archives.
