Stavros beach
Stavros is at the north tip of the Akrotiri Peninsula. The circular bay encloses a beautiful sandy beach. There is also a small fishing harbour here. The film "Zorba the Greek" with Anthony Quinn  was filmed in 1964 in the bare mountainside that dominates one side of the Stavros bay.
The area of Stavros despite its natural beauty is a typical suburban sprawl area.
