During the summer months tour boats jam the harbour and tourists disembark to see Knossos and the Archaeological Museum of Crete. Additionally, there are regular ferry boats to Piraeus, Rhodes, Santorini, Mikonos and Tinos (See Transportation). There is also a newly constructed marina with docking facilities for a variety of yachts.
