The other street leading north from the Dikastiria Square is A. Papandreou street (former Dimokratias street), passing behind the Public Gardens ("Kipos") and the Clock Tower ("Roloi") on the left and the athletics stadium of Chania on the right and ending in the Market Square. A.Papandreou is a very busy commercial street, especially at the north end where there are many high-class shops with clothing and consumer products.
