The small Byzantine church of Profitis Ilias is also near the village. Take the first parallel road west of the main village road going south. Turn right on to a dirt road and the church is nearby on top of a small hill. The small church is very unusual in that it has a baroque style front with reliefs including a coat of arms of the Kalergis family (an important Cretan family during the Venetian era), lions, and inscriptions.
