To the left of the stairs, between the East and West Wings, there is a complex known as the Storerooms. There is ample evidence here of the intensity of the fire that destroyed the palace. One of the storerooms has five severely charred pithari stands of gypsum in it and the entrance itself also shows signs of damage by the fire.
