A fresco from the Byzantine church of Agios Stefanos, Drakona
On the road before the village of Drakona there is a sign on the right for the first Byzantine period (9C) church of Agios Stefanos. From the road it is a short walk to the church. The church is open to visitors and has interesting frescoes. It is a very old, single-roomed church in the dark-green surroundings of tall trees and is excellently preserved.
