The village is accessed through the National Road which is just 10 minutes drive or through the old regional road which is 20 to 25 minutes drive during the summer. Night life for those who wish to entertain themselves can be reached within a few minutes drive and night clubs or bars of high standards all by the sea can be enjoyed by all. Tavernas of high quality food Cretan and international can also be enjoyed in the tavernas in Maleme and around the village. Access to beaches of unique beauty such as Falasarna, Elafonissos, and Paleochora are all conveniently approached. The change of scenery is really amazing and compensating. A visit to another beach called Balos is also worth being visited.Car -hire arrangements can be made.
