The resort of Platanias has all kinds of tourist facilities: cafes, restaurants, hotels, shopping, bars. A long, sandy beach extends for miles to the right and left of the town, offering all kinds of facilities such as umbrellas, showers, lifeguards, beach bars and sports such as beach volley, water-ski, jet-ski etc. The place is a bit crowded in the summer.
