Georgioupolis is on the National Highway from Chania to Rethymnon: 39km from Chania, 20km from Rethymnon. It is a small town with hotels, restaurants and cafes, a sandy beach and a wildlife refuge. Georgioupolis is the beginning of a 10 kilometre stretch of beach that runs beside the highway from Chania to Rethymnon.
