The Savathianon Monastery above Rodia, Iraklion
The Savathianon Monastery is 14km west of Heraklion on the Heraklion - Rodia - Savathianon Monastery road.
You reach the convent after a 20-minute, 5km drive from Rodia which starts as a paved road and then becomes a dirt track rising 417 metres above Rodia. There is one sign for it at the parking lot in Rodia and a second on the road itself.
