The village of Kissos is 35km from Rethimnon
on the Rethimnon - Spili - Agia Galini road, turn left 5km after Spili.

In the village of Kissos there are the three churches; Sotiras Christos, the Panagia and Agios Ioannis which contains interesting frescoes. Near the village is also the old Byzantine monastery of Agio Pnevma (Holy Spirit) whose church is still preserved.
