Marathi is 17km from Chania on the Chania - Aroni - Sternes - Marathi road.

As the road winds down to sea level, there are superb views of Souda Bay and the Lefka Ori. You will pass a military base on the left, about 2km down the road. After this (200m) there will be a sign left to Marathi. The road winds again for 2km until you arrive at the beach. The ancient city of Minoa is to the left. There is a parking lot to the right, near the small harbour. You can also reach Marathi by organized boat tours that leave from Souda Bay.
