The path to the Potter's Kiln continues and about 150 metres east the ruins of two large circular, or tholos, tombs are found. The earlier of these two tombs is the larger, 9 metres in diameter. The second tomb contained the Agia Triada sarcophagus. Decorated with scenes revealing the Minoans concepts of religion and life after death, it dates from around 1400 B.C.
