Lychnostatis Museum in Limin Hersonisou
Just east of Limin Hersonisou is the very interesting Lychnostatis Museum. This museum offers visitors an authentic view of traditional living in Crete. Traditional methods for drying flowers and herbs, wine-making, weaving and a complete Cretan house may be seen. In addition there are performances of Cretan dancing in the evening.
The Cretan Open-air Museum 'LYCHNOSTATIS' aims to promote the understanding and awareness of the Cretan folk cultural heritage. Its scope lies on the following themes,Cretan Folk Tradition and Ethnology, Cretan Nature and Environment, Cretan Folk Culture.
Open daily except Satyrdays 9:00-14:00, entrance 5 euro, 2 for kids 4-12, 3 euro for students
