Iroon Politechniou street, directly in front of the Court House, offers a pleasant walk towards the sea. It is a wide, tree-lined boulevard that has at its north end a spectacular view of the court house with the backdrop of the Lefka Ori that is best appreciated in winter or spring. The residential area of Iroon Politechniou gives a pleasant impression of life in Chania, as it was once considered an exclusive area in which to live. There are also some good coffee and sweet shops on Iroon Politechniou.
