Before the village turn left on a dirt road going towards the village cemetery, which is visible from the distance. The road passes below the cemetery to the left and continues to the Venetian aqueduct.
The sixteenth century aqueduct was constructed by the Venetians to bring water to Iraklion. This aqueduct also fed the Morosini Fountain in the Lions Square. The Venice emblem can still be seen on the large supporting bridge over the ravine.
