Crete TOURnet: Home Crete Guide Areas of Interest Chania Asfendou

Asfendou is a small village southeast from the village of Askifou. On the road that leads from Askifou to Chora Sfakion, just after the entrance of the Imbros Gorge  there is a left turning that leads to the village in about 20 minutes on a very narrow road. The village can be used as a base for walks in the White Mountains. It is also connected by road with the historical village of Kallikratis.
Asfendou is known for a prehistoric cave with paintings and a subterranean lake.
