Agios Pavlos Church in Agios Ioannis
Before Festos and the branch to Agia Triada, there is a small area called Agios Ioannis. The Byzantine church of Agios Pavlos is surrounded by a small cemetery and is on the east side of the road. The church dates from the fourteenth century and contains frescoes, the best of which are of the Evangelists. The church forms a small cross with a large dome and has a smaller dome above the altar. It has peculiar architecture since its narthex, which is located in the front of the church, is as large as the church itself.
