In the village of Heliana there is the Byzantine church of Agios Georgios. The church has well-preserved frescoes with inscriptions dating from 1319. One of them depicts Patriarch Nikolaos. The church is usually locked and the key holder absent. But it has a large window from which one can see the inside. The church is in the village cemetery about 500 metres from the village.
