The facilities in the Storerooms, Malia

Archaeologists have placed roofing over the Storerooms in order to protect the mud-brick construction. These Storerooms on the east side of the Central Court are more elaborate then in other Minoan palaces. Grain and olive oil were stored here and facilities included raised shelves with drainage spouts and channels in the floor for spillage collection.
