Pahia Ammos

35* 06'.6 25* 48'.1
This small fishing village is approximately 15km east of Agios Nikolaos in the southwest corner of the bay of Mirabelo. Water, fuel and some provisions are in the small village of Pahia Ammos. There are no port authorities here. No repairs are possible. There is a telephone and post box and no medical facilities beyond a pharmacy. Approach only from the east and take care to stay away from the rocks around the 2 small islands in front of the harbour.
The harbour offers bow-to and stern-to mooring for small boats. It is protected from north and northwest winds. It is open to the east and there are no lights. The harbour is extremely difficult, if not impossible to reach in strong north winds.
