The foot path from Gouverneto to The Cave of the Bear (Spilia Arkoudas) continues down the ravine towards the Katholiko Monastery.

From the car park on the left of the monastery, there is a view of the sea, and a footpath begins that goes down to the monastery of Katholiko and the "spilies"--the caves. The walk down to Katholiko takes about 30 minutes. Allow 1 1/2 to 2 hours for the round trip.
